I hope that Father Christmas

Yes! I hear the sleighbells ring,
as into view he hove,
I hope he is petite,
We've got a new woodburning stove.
See the mighty mansion:
The terrace mean and small,
Poor old Father Christmas
Has to struggle down them all,
Santa and his reindeer,
Soar above the fields,
The poor old boy looks knackered,
And he's only done Chapelfields
Protect the little children,
From any fear or fright,
